             Bendigo is a city built on the wealth of gold which was discovered in late September in 1851. It has a population of 100,000 and is located 150km north-west of Melbourne on the Calder Highway.

4. Gold Prospecting. Visit the Golden Dragon Museum or Central Deborah Gold Mine and relive the days of the gold rush.
